Specific Privacy Notice – Instore Developer Portal

This notice explains how Worldline (“Worldline”, “we”, “us”, “our”) processes personal data when you use the instore developer portal for retrieving integration information. It supplements, and should be read in conjunction with, Worldline Merchant Services Privacy Notice available at https://worldline.com/en/compliancy/privacy (“MS Privacy Notice”). All capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the MS Privacy Notice.
Who Is the Data Controller?
Worldline MS France SAS having its registered office at 1 place des Degrés Tour Voltaire 92800 Puteaux, registered with the company registration number FR9201.538600404, acts as the controller for the processing activities described below.
For the provisioning of access to and management of the instore developer portal.
Which Categories of Data Subjects and Personal Data Are Processed via the Portal?
In the context of the instore developer portal Worldline processes Personal Data related to its (Prospective) Merchants and integrators (to the extent that a Merchant may be considered a Data Subjects under Applicable Laws) and their employees, legal representatives and/or ultimate beneficial owners.
Worldline processes, amongst other, the following categories of personal data via the instore developer portal:
- Identification & contact data, such as first and last name, e-mail address,...
- Account & Portal usage data: such as credentials, log-in timestamp, device/IP data, user ID, cookies,...
- Any personal data that you choose to provide in the message field of our contact form.
Why Does Worldline Process This Data?
When using the instore developer portal, Worldline processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- For the legitimate interest of account management of the portal, including identification and authentication of each user, and ensuring that access to documentation is provided to the users,
- For the legitimate interest of responding to your questions, provide you with support, or address your comments and inquiries, sent via the contact form,
- For the legitimate interest of security & fraud-prevention monitoring of the portal to protect the portal and to investigate misuse.
How Long Does Worldline Keep the Data?
Portal and account data are retained for two years after the last login date. One month before your account is scheduled for deletion due to inactivity, we will send a notification to your registered email address. To keep your account active, simply log in to reset the retention period.
Logs are kept for a period of 2 months.
Information provided via the contact form will need to be retained for as long as necessary to provide you with the requested services related to the portal, or for the time of the processing of your request via the contact form.
Who Does Worldline Share Personal Data With?
When using the instore developer portal, Worldline may exchange data with:
- Worldline Group and its affiliates providing IT hosting, security or compliance services (transfers comply with GDPR Chapter V).
- Google Cloud Platform to host the instore developer portal.
We do not sell or otherwise share personal data with unrelated third parties.
International Data Transfers
Personal data may be transferred outside the EEA / UK / Switzerland. When such transfers occur Worldline relies on approved mechanisms such as adequacy decisions, Binding Corporate Rules (between Worldline affiliates) or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Does Worldline Carry Out Automated Decision-Making?
Under data protection law, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. We can confirm that we do not engage in this type of automated decision-making.
Your Rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability as described in the MS Privacy Notice.
